NWEEG brings together almost 100 HR professionals for its latest sell-out event: Engaging Managers and Leaders
This week we joined almost 100 other HR leaders and professionals from across the North West at Sofology’s head office in Golborne for the latest North West Employee Engagement Group (NWEEG) seminar.
The event focused on management and leadership and provided attendees with practical knowledge for creating a business culture that engages all its employees.
The day’s speakers included:
Alyson Fadil, People Director at Sofology (and NWEEG Ambassador)
Alyson described how Sofology created an engagement culture based on their brand values and outlined how their model empowers their employees to make the best choices across the organisation.
Major (Ret’d) John Harker MBE, Director of Wigan Youth Zone
John spoke about his previous experiences working within the Armed Forces and current experiences within Youth Services. He gave an inspiring talk about leadership and closed with the quote:
‘Leadership isn’t about controlling others. It’s about awakening people to their own potential and then giving them the space in which to achieve it.’
Dr Tony Mawson, Director, Organisational Healthcare (and NWEEG Ambassador)
Tony gave an insightful presentation looking at the relationship between wellbeing and engagement in the modern workplace, citing proven techniques for building an engaged workforce.
Attendees commented on the day:
‘Great event once again. Very inspiring presentations!’
‘First time attending a NWEEG Conference. Really interesting!’
‘Just to say thank you very much; the seminar today was excellent. We have taken a lot away from what the speakers had to say. Could you please reserve 3 places on the next seminar for November?’
‘The Sofology presentation was particularly engaging – I bet most HR Managers were green with envy at what she is allowed to do.’
To attend the next event visit the NWEEG site to sign-up – but be quick! Spaces are limited and fill up fast.
The event is on 9th November at Crown Paints in Darwen, Blackburn and is focused on ‘Creating Your Winning Engagement Strategy.’
Not to be missed, the day is a unique opportunity to benefit from the whole group’s learnings and build a practical engagement strategy to implement within your own organisation.
